Music theory slide rule by Leon Theremin

Theremin's musical slide rule helped with the study of music theory

In the 1960s, Leon Theremin worked at the Laboratory of Music Acoustic at Moscow Conservatory. He made a very interesting and helpful Music theory tool. The slide rule helped with the study of music theory, the fundamental parameters of music, and the characteristics of musical instruments. It presents the relationships between notes, scales, intervals, harmonies, and sound frequencies; systematizes musical terms; demonstrates transposition techniques; and much more. This tool is stored in the archive of Leon Theremin’s biographer and friend, Sergey Zorin, in Moscow.
