Visit the Theremin Museum in Japan

Machiko reports about her visit to Theremin Museum by Youko Onishi @yokotheremin during the All Japan Theremin Festival:

The time zone was divided into two, with five people each time. I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying it twice! And somehow I expected it, only 10 people who play the Theremin themselves! Flowering in a very deep Theremintalk.

What a luxurious space, with all kinds of new and old Theremins! This is worth a visit from abroad!Director Yoko Onishi apparently studied physics at university, isn’t this a calling!? Lots of historical literature collected and a great amount of information.

We listened to Welcome Director’s talk, listened to the demonstration, and played the intriguing Theremins, rare Theremins, all together. Each one has its own characteristics, ingenuity, and you can feel the creator’s attention. In particular, German Dominic’s theremin was stylish and full of strange ideas. I played a wood and acrylic board combined, and the right antenna stretched and tuned, the front panel with a pinch can be rotated 90 degrees to make the surface of the sky. I was able to see the legs of the Theremin made by furniture artisan Mr. Sudou!

90 minutes went by in a flash of a flash, talking and asking questions.
